Free Rice: Free Rice is a non-profit website run by the United Nations World Food Program. Two goals of Free Rice is to provide education to everyone for free and to end world hunger by providing free rice to hungry people for free.

LD Online.org:
LD OnLine seeks to help children and adults reach their full potential by providing accurate and up-to-date information and advice about learning disabilities and ADHD.

NYC Department of Education:
The Department of Education has developed guides for each grade, PK-8, entitled "Great Expectations, Partnering for your child's future," describing what children should know by the end of each school year. The guides lay out in parent-friendly language the major elements of what children are learning--particularly in language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies, which are the focus of these guides. The guides are available in nine languages (English, Spanish, Chinese, Russian, Arabic, Urdu, Bengali, Korean and Haitian Creole). Families can obtain copies of these guides from the parent coordinator at their child's school. Copies can also be obtained by clicking below, under the particular language and grade.

PBS:

Project Participate:
Project Participate provides families, educators, administrators and therapists with simple strategies to increase the active participation of students with disabilities in school programs.

The Online Guided Reading Program. Includes everything you need to know to teach Leveled Readers, Poetry Books, Reader's Theater Scripts and more.

 

Smithmag.net: SMITH magazine celebrates the joy of storytelling. SMITH is a home for storytelling of all forms and kinds, with a focus on personal narrative. We believe everyone as a story, and everyone should have a place to tell it.

Teaching Tolerance
A Project of the Southern Poverty Law Center. Free materials include 'teaching kits,' 'classroom activities,' and 'recommended resources'. Searches by grade level and subject are available.

Vital New York
Video in Teaching and Learning for New York State Educators. Includes free digital multimedia resources in all grade level and subject areas.
